AIRSICK May 17th 2009 00:34

Looks Great!

ricola May 17th 2009 05:03

That's a really nice/quick transformation! I look forward to seeing it with the suspension settled at the final ride height...
Rich

blitzvw May 20th 2009 04:25

Excellent! That car looks so good!

oasis May 20th 2009 10:15

Besides looking good, keeping the "VW 1200" badge on the rear lid makes it a sleeper as well.

V8SuperBeetle May 22nd 2009 11:42

Wow, looks great and great job on getting it done so quickly. I wish I could do the same. :)

I hope to see some videos of it tearing up the track soon. :goodjob:

KeverCop May 24th 2009 16:40

Thanks everybody for the nice reactions!

We still have a lot of big and small things to do, but the project is almost ending.

Okidoki, i will refresh your memory a bit with some old pictures.....

This is our economy beetle. The beetle is built in Emden , Germany. The car was first bought in the Netherlands in 1976.
I bought te car in 2006 in Purmerend. ( Holland)

At the race track to see some friends. The green 1303 beetle belonged to my dad. Unfortunally he sold the car a few months ago....

This is our bug in Belguim. My boyfriend dropped the front end with lowered spindles, and adjusted the rear suspension height.

In may 2008 a Peugeot ran into my bug:

The International Kever Weekend in Budel was coming soon, so we had to fix the bug in a few weeks!

Viva la bug!! The after pics are much better. Nice work!

Jim May 25th 2009 03:21

Veeeeery detailed and nice work!!!

NO_H2O May 25th 2009 08:50

Your upgrades are very nice. The Cup wheels are a good contrast to the white paint. The cooling holes under the plate on the decklid are a nice touch.
Oh, and how's your dog doing?

volkdent May 25th 2009 19:52

Very nice!!! Of course I'm partial to the Cup IIs myself, but I think they look really swank again the white.

Thanks al lot guys!

Once the rebuilt was done, we thougt the car came out awesome!
During the job we kept the "3 color rule" in our heads, which means the car has only white, anthracite and black. Any extra color would have made it "A Mickey-mouse mobile".

These pictures were taking during the first test- drive.
The engine leaks a bit of oil. We think this happens because some of the cillinders are worn too bad, and some pistons are not that good in shape anymore. So we decided it's time for 94mm pistons and cilinders (1915cc) :D
We are already looking forward to our "new" you'll understand.

In my last post I post a picture of our black bug. We call it "Da union 76", because of the decalls.
I have a few movies for you.
Movie 1 is about a dyno run : 1641 cc = 102,3 PK!
http://www.youtube.com/user/omesander#p/u/1/oW20oZUrf6k

Movie 2 is about Bittburg (germany) ( the drag strip)
http://www.youtube.com/user/omesande...25/MR64gJj9_Po

Movie 3 is about Chimay, ON BOARD cam, the slalom ( bug show)
http://www.youtube.com/user/omesande...14/pOZpVQRi08M

NO_H2O December 23rd 2009 10:38

Your 3 color plan came out great. The car came out very nice.
Thanks for the videos.

ichbro December 23rd 2009 10:47

It looks stunning but Where did you get headlight and turn light in the bumper from?

Jim December 23rd 2009 11:15

One more outstanding beetle!!!

Xellex December 23rd 2009 20:39

love how the car looks! If I should name one thing I don't like tho, it would be that "racing" decal on the left of the kamei spoiler :P

V8SuperBeetle December 28th 2009 11:18

Looks great! The only thing I would suggest is color sanding and buffing to get more of a shine. Either way, it looks good. I like the sticker on the spoiler.

TSAF January 22nd 2010 10:29

Very nice car your 1200

F-22A January 23rd 2010 06:02

Great job. I love the white with the dark coloured wheels, looks so modern.

ferfre007 January 25th 2010 13:45

hermoso!! saludos desde Paraguay-sudamerica!!

KeverCop January 26th 2010 13:03

@No H2O: Tnx! And we love the videos too, especially making them!!:lmao:
@Ichbro: Haedlight cam from www.Autostyle.NL (we ordered them at our local autostyle supplier). Turning signals in the bumper were bought on a meeting somewhere, but I'm sure autostyle or most VW shops can help you too.

@Jim, Xellex, V8 superbeetle, TSAF, F22-a: Tnx and tnx again!! We're happy you all like our ride so much! You will all be the first to know, that the engine will be upgraded very soon. The 1600 will be rebuilt as a 1915cc!
We'll let you know when it's done (but first our VW412 variant needs "some attention")

@Ferfre007: Eeeeuh, tnx dude!! Groeten uit Holland terug!

Rob January 29th 2010 19:59

Love the color. Makes for an extremely clean car. Beautiful.

Hardstikke mooi :)

Are those HID headlights ?

Rob.

KeverCop February 28th 2010 19:35
