Another Aircooled for the fleet

I just got a verbal agreement from the owner to put another aircooled vehicle in the fleet. Everyone but my wife has an aircooled toy and now she will be getting the one she wants. Lord help the boys that have 4x4's working for Henry County Water. The smack talk is fixin' to hit the fan.

Anyone want to buy "Old Yellar" Ford F-100 Supercab (first year for Supercab) 289 and AOD Overdrive. One more radiator ready to leave my fleet.

vujade September 23rd 2007 22:42

so are you trying to buy it Dave?

NO_H2O September 24th 2007 01:56

Done deal. It was the high bidder and it did not make reserve so I called him and we came to terms. We had already look it over at his place in Cleveland GA.
Good thing is we won't have to ship it.

Sweet! Another Pinz owner!

We need to go play sometime for sure, before I put a paint job on mine...

oasis September 24th 2007 11:21

Very cool, Dave. Congrats on your purchase. :agree: :agree:

I need to get something for my daughter but I don't think an F-100 will do the trick.

wrenchnride247 September 24th 2007 20:11

Schweeet!!! :D My rugrats will want a ride of course  . They talk about Jake's!

NO_H2O September 24th 2007 21:46

Well this will be Nancy's toy, but I am sure she will want to learn some off road skills and take folks for rides.:agree:

yellow73 September 27th 2007 21:44

Congratulations Nancy!!!!
I am looking forward to seeing it!!!!

Panelfantastic September 28th 2007 10:16

Sweet! I've always dreamed of a Pinz or a Mog but no real use for one or room to abuse it.

On a side note, I should be near to having my latest toy back on four very soon. It is similar in a very very loose sense but on a smaller scale. Not aircooled, but more suited to use on my place. Pics to follow.

I picked the Pinz up yesterday. It drove back from Cleveland with no trouble. As the old fuel gave way to the new and a good high RPM extended run cleared it out nicely. Nancy is happy to have it. I got home late so the pix are not too good. I will take some better pix in the daylight.

wrenchnride247 September 28th 2007 21:09

SCHWEEET!!!!

I spent the bulk of the day servicing the Pinz. Power washed it, drained and services all the driveline gearboxes (all 8 of them), bled/adjusted the brakes, etc. Here are some daylight pix.

wrenchnride247 September 29th 2007 21:04

You need to add that to your sig...

yellow73 September 29th 2007 22:54

yetibone October 8th 2007 18:46

That looks entirely too clean Dave. Y'all need to do something about that.

Panelfantastic October 9th 2007 18:03

Nowhere near as cool as a Pinz but better suited for my small property... my own little utility vehicle...

6 inch suspension lift, 28 inch tires, A/C, heat, power steering, fuel injected, 660cc 3cyl.

Rob October 9th 2007 22:12

Panel, that's awesome :):)

How's that 3Cyl pulling those big tires ?
Is it a japanese import ?

Rob.

Panelfantastic October 9th 2007 22:43

Thanks Rob!
Its a Daihatsu. Right hand drive, not street legal here. Engine pulls great, they are geared crazy low and the taller tires actually made it a little more drivable. You were coming out of first as soon as you let out the clutch in stock form. I just use it around the property for hauling, towing spray rig and some fun.

Looks like a cool toy.
We took the Pinz to Road Atlanta and used it as a track taxi. It sure beat dragging everything in on foot.

yellrhd October 10th 2007 19:58

man how you lift that?

Those Daihatsu's as well as their Honda,Suzuki,Mazda brethren are normal fare over here.
I Have never seen one done up like that though.
Where did you get the parts?

I think if I was to take the van version of one it would be great for camping

By the way those extended cab versions are very hard to find used evryone wants one.

Panelfantastic October 10th 2007 21:43

Thanks! The Jumbos are rare here too. I paid a premium for the extra room and the nice cold A/C.
I built all the lift myself, re-drilled a set ATV wheels to fit. I've seen pics of the little vans, would love to lift one of those too!
