The 912-6 rocks!!

Got the 912-6 on the track last weekend and it rocks! It flew out of corners and the carrera brakes were outstanding. Can't wait to do it again in December.

Do I smell a challange. :agree:

NO_H2O October 19th 2004 06:52

That would be and (E)xcellent challange. :agree:
Glad to see you got it on the track John.

yetibone October 19th 2004 07:22

Nice pic John! :agree: The 912-6 looks at home in that setting.

Helping out on the car, and taking a drive in it a couple of weeks ago really lit a fire under me to find one. Mabye it's the weight, I dunno, but that car accellerates HARD!!!

John told me I couldn't drive it anymore untill I finish and sell my @*%$#&^%$* Volkswagen.

zen October 19th 2004 08:07

very cool John. i can't wait to get on the track. just have to find/make the time. clutch on the 951 probably can't take too many track days though. will have to be the bug. just have to find me some big torsion bars and get the backend up.

Joe, I figured you would sell the TR6 first, watch out, I'll find you a killer deal before you know it, might not even require a trip to MI.

Jake, registration for the Dec DE down here is open, Carolina PCA, you're welcome to come and play with us. :D

Funniest/worst part of the event was the drifter boy with the ragged out Tercell on the track. Definit back marker material.

Zen, drop Rob at www.dcauto.com a line, he had a stack of torsion bars at his place, should have just what you need.

Sandeep October 19th 2004 12:17

Zen,
If I can get enough ducks in a row I'll be headed there Saturday. I'll be glad to pick some bars up for you.

sorry guys. my reviewing postings has been shotgun method at best. yeti, thanks for the offer, but i think my ducks died due to lack of care and feeding. randy, any idea how much stiffer those are than stock VW? seems like they could be too stiff.

All good Zen. Rob didn't answer the phone Saturday so I didn't make it there anyway. Weekends are appointment only, so I'm gonna call during the week and set something up for next weekend.

Guys in the gruppe, if you need a used Porsche part, post it here, or shoot me an email by next weekend and I'll look for it next Saturday.

John, got plans on the 30th?

boygenius October 25th 2004 00:26

I need a set of trailing arm attachment bolts and nuts, and the washers too.
Both sides for the aluminum trailing arms. :)

And if you can score some 1.5" wheel spacers grab those too. :agree:

zen October 25th 2004 08:10

trailing arm to spring plate? if so, i will see if i have any leftovers as well.
