Ok,, we are getting close to HOD time. Who is going to this one? What is up for the weekend? I plan to go and I think Ryan (my son) will bring his car.

This really stinks to say... but I can't make it this year. I have a few extra bucks, but I need the money for my Ghia. Have some extra fun for me. :( If I get ahold of Zen to get the rear disk, I'll have brakes on my pan. Even though my new job has me working 9hrs a day 5 days a week.

where in atlanta is the hod show i may try to get away. im going to a local show on th 25th so the car will be on the trailer already.

im planning to be there. is this gonna be a vkg gathering. are we going to try to park together or is it left up to the show organizers. if we park as a club someone save me a spot. i will probobly leave here around 7am its about a 3 hour trip one way for me so i should be there aroun 10 - 10:30 am . who else is planning to go besides dave.

Zen is going, don't know if both cars or just the Ghia. I think he wants to put the Ghia in the public eye as it is for sale. We need to park together if we can. We might have to wait and go in together but that is cool with me.

just talked it through with my wife. im there. looks as if the weather will cooperate. should be a good day.

Cool. I stil have to talk my son into going with his car, that is if he doesn't have to work.

If I would have had the seats done in The Cruiser on time, I would have come. My tender tushy would be barking at me by the time I'd've hit Richmond. :(

Looks like BJ/GLM&G will still be my first opportunity to see y'all. :)

I plan to be there, as long as I do not have to work. Just got back from vacation so trying to get caaught up...I am looking forward to seeing other VKG folks.

My bug needs cleaning, but I have tonight and tomorrow.....

Mine is ready.
Tomorrow I will be pulling a 2017 type 1 engine from a Thing to make ready for a RAT 2270. It will get discs up front, oil cooler system, elect fuel pump and shocks while it is here. The 2017 is up for sale (all CB stuff, turn key). The owner doesn't want to ship it back to NYC.

i just returned from a local show (where i won best non big 3) i beat alot of nice ricers. i should be there between 10:00 - 10:30 am tommrow morning. are we going to meet or just find each other in the show.

We are going to save you a spot. Tell them your screen name when you register.

a great show for GLs (although not a great show for weather...rain, rain, rain). all 3 GLs at the show were in the top spots.

i got the top spot beneath that with the Ghia
Nigel the next with his Type 34 Ghia (non-GL, but we are working on him since we got him to break on his Bug)

had a great time hanging out despite the weather. great meeting you Lazarus. hope you will make the trek to Tampa in November. i have plans to come your way in October to the BMW plant for Auto EuroFest. kick a$$ show.

i will be on the lookout. maybe we can crash the bmw party GermanLook.com style.

forgot to mention scattering my shift rod coupler during that little drag leaving the show. it was already on its way though. made the drive home much fun. man, what a difference a new one makes though. nice crisp shifting now.
