what do you think of these?

I just found these wheels last week & I absolutely love them!

What do you guys think?

http://www.whalentire.com/wheels/kon...eblackopal.jpg

They are 17 x 7 & et 40

NYBugman1972 November 12th 2002 21:44

Konig "Imagines", I think. I like to call them "Poor Man's BBS LM". I say go for it, but photoshop them on your car before you commit. I know it helped me with my wheel choices.

All in all, I like them!

vujade November 12th 2002 22:41

definitely look like BBS wheels.... thats what I though.
just like on the black MBT car.

I dont have photoshop, anyone want to help with that?

NYBugman1972 November 13th 2002 07:39

Email me a couple of pictures of your car. Profile's are best, but anything will do. I'll giveit a shot.

zen November 13th 2002 13:01

they are imagines. i looked at those for a while because i love the finish and thought it would look cool with a grey or pewter body. i change my mind though when i saw just how many ricers are running them. there are bunch around here with them. that is when i went porsche.

vujade November 13th 2002 14:51

we dont have alot of ricers in Daytona Beach... there are some, but not a whole lot.

I hve not seen these rims anywhere in this area.

I think they are absolutely gorgeous!

TitoRay November 13th 2002 17:38

Yes, excellent choice. The wheels I am getting are similar. Are you still inspired by that silver GL with Hockenheim's? I know I am...:silly:

vujade November 13th 2002 18:44

yes I am. I love that car....

there will be photos of it in the Show section by this weekend

TitoRay November 14th 2002 01:51

Awesome! There can never be enough pictures of that car!

vujade November 14th 2002 10:04

Titoray

it looks better then ever!
The interior has been changed.
It has CF door panels & black leather racing seats
Looks really good. He has also added a full compliment of guages
It has 18" Porsche Twist wheels not too.

vujade, i haven't seen patrick on the boards lately. i didn't make it to the show, but my dad did and checked out patrick's car and talked with him a bit. he is sending me some pics from the show as well. i will send them in to be added if there any good ones. seems like patrick has made some nice upgrades. one being a 2.7l TIV.
:goodness:
my dad said there was quite a bit of c/f inside also. i already saw some pics on samba of the outside. no real changes there. no need to though. very sweet car. any other info you can share on it?

zen November 14th 2002 10:09

sorry that previous post seems to be out of order.

what kind of seats?

vujade November 14th 2002 10:21

not quite sure about the seats..didnt really look at them too well, was distracted by the CF :)

Here is a photoshop of my car with these rims, thanks to NYBugman1972 (THanks)

very cool. go for it. they are great looking rims and usually a good price.

Chris Percival November 14th 2002 11:28

Very cool. They look very much like my favorite wheel from Kerscher.
http://tinyurl.com/2p33
Are they made by the same company?

vujade November 14th 2002 12:24

I found them for $1016 delievered to my door with 205/40/17 Kumho tires.

Yes they look alot like the kersher wheels.
I believe Konig is a german wheel? anyone know?
that may be why the similarity. (sp)?

vujade November 15th 2002 00:16

What about these?

They have a nice Porsche influence....

bren November 15th 2002 07:49

konig rims are made by the same company that make mine. theyre called League in europe though.

NYBugman1972 November 15th 2002 09:07

I always liked MAS Italy Roger's http://www.maswheels.com/images/Roger300.jpg They're available in 18 thru 45 offsets and 17x7" thru 17x8.5, as well as 18"x7.5 thru 8.5

Just about the same applies to
http://www.maswheels.com/images/president300.jpg

www.maswheels.com to see the rest of their lineup.

I also like Rota Wheels. Very lightweight wheels. www.rotawheels.com Slipstream, Subzero, and Mantis are my personal favorites.

TitoRay November 15th 2002 16:11

If you are really gonna go after the Imagines, they are $899 with tires and delivered to your door at www.wheelmax.com...
Under specials.

vujade November 15th 2002 16:35

thanks Titoray

zen November 15th 2002 19:46

just be careful vujade. there are just a ton of aftermarket wheels that are substandard. the u.s. does not require certification like europe. they can put out just about anything they are willing to get sued for. i have heard many stories of bent rims from pot holes. i think konig has a good rep though.

NYBugman1972 November 15th 2002 21:08

I have heard bad things about TSW (The Soft Wheel). (Be carefull Trevor!)

However, if it helps any, I have heard good things about Rota, and nothing bad about Konig.
