Salvage Yard Santa

1 Attachment(s)
Well Salvage Yard Santa has something for Nigle (Yellow73).
A race horse deal on some LEATHER. Sorry Nigle, I had to clean them up and post a pic. Should be the crowning touch to your interior revamp. :agree:

Nice! Is he going to use the matching seatbelt assemblies too?

I didn't get the belts. The belt coulplings will un-bolt from the Celica seats and look clean, leaving the Bug belts in the car.

Panelfantastic November 24th 2005 12:32

Cool. That's where I was going with my question, a way to use those factory couplings if they wouldn't unbolt.

Dave,
They look awsome, I can't wait to to get them in the car...but Peggy says I have to have Thanksgiving lunch with the family first!!!

NO_H2O November 24th 2005 12:42

I removed them from the seats I have in my car (same seats but not leather). I still have to un-bolt the ones in the Bus (same seats Black and Gray leather). Soon our club will be known for having 2000-2005 Celica seats in our cars. :D
As long as these spoiled punk kids keep wrecking Celicas, I will keep trying to get the seats out of them. They convert easy, light wieght, look good and are very nice to sit in. :agree:

NO_H2O November 24th 2005 12:46

Go ahead and eat Nigle. Hard to get some steel and donor seat bottoms on Thanksgiving Day and they have already been cleaned up. I think I might sit in them and watch some football (now that IS redneck).

yellow73 November 24th 2005 14:49

Sounded like a good idea to me...

yellow73 November 26th 2005 00:11

These seats are great. They are very confortable and now I just need to get them into the car.
A big thank you to Dave NO_H2O :D

NO_H2O November 26th 2005 03:22

Glad you like them. I wish I would have remembered to give you the bag of longer Audi lug bolts that I had in the bus for you.

yellow73 December 1st 2005 23:04

I'll get them next time!!!!

zen December 2nd 2005 10:20

very, very cool. congrats "caretaker" (still need to change your ID :D). those are going to look great in your car.

btw, VKGers, we even had nigel talking about blacking out his trim when we were at Bug Jam. be sure he gets some more encouragement in that area. :D :agree: big a$$ engine comes next. i saw the look on his face when i took him out in my bug. only a matter of time.

Lazarus December 2nd 2005 22:55

he offered to drive mine on the dyno after i threatened to piss myself and ruin my seats :D . only a matter of time now until its killer engine , show paint and a trailer just like ole Laz. The trailer part not the other stuff. :p

oasis December 3rd 2005 07:30

Wow, those came from a salvage yard? I was breaking my arm patting myself on the back just finding a '97 GTI doughnut spare tire. I now need to take a closer look at salvage yards. Very nice! :)

No trailers for the hard core. I can't see Nigle putting his on a trailer. I think he would drop the engine on the roadside and rebuild it before he put it on a trailer. He is a "Man-Up-N-Drive" award winner. And carries a nice stash of spare parts along to keep it on the road. Just ask the Valdosta group that needed a fuel pump n the way to Tampa. We now call him "Caretaker". What good are fine leather seats if you don't put your @$$ in them. :agree:

Lazarus December 4th 2005 00:42

i need to do better about the man up and drive thing. if it werent for that gear it would be alot easier. maybe now after my first year i can calm down and enjoy my car a little more than back and forth to work. :agree:

yellow73 December 6th 2005 22:13

Big engine would be great but Dave is right no trailer....got to drive it :agree:

yellow73 December 22nd 2005 20:53
