Porsche brakes on a bus
Hey, I am wanting to run Porsche phone dials on my 67 11window walk-thru bus.
What kind of setup do I need to complete this? |
I'd be glad to help. What's your suspension setup?
Here's my old 65 with flipped spindles and bug irs setup with 944 disk all around (later 944T). Nice bus...
I have a stock 67 bus right now. Planning to keep it close to stock. Wanting to run Porsche phone dials. Not sure what parts I'll need to run them. Can I keep the RGB's on the back or do I have to loose them? |
With stock suspension you can:
A) use wheel adapter at 4 corners B) use 944 disk kit up front, adapters in rear It'll be tight for fender width in the rear, so definitely 6" wheel max. Lanner |
Would it be possible to re-drill the rear drums to Porsche pattern?
|
No, because of the casting in the center of the bus drum that will interfere with the Porsche wheel:

Thanks for the info.
What would I need for the rear. |
Saw an ad for this company in Hot VW's. They are local to me.
http://www.gryarea.com/ They make custom cnc machined parts. Sent them an email. Hope that they might be able to create something to put the Porsche brakes on an RGB rear. Will keep you posted. |
