steering wheels

My current one is old and i want to get a new one but not sure what kind, what kinds are you guys using?I'd like to have a nice sporty classic or modern looking one under 50 bucks if possible.I cant afford those cool 200+ dollar ones though lol
My interior is stock, in all black, my shifter is the empi trigger with the black knob it comes with, i have porsche style pedals, and my window cranks are slotted chrome ones with the black knobs on them, just to give you the idea of theme the interior is.

My porsche style pedels i dont have a pic of but there like these.

but where i got them from, it said they were porsche styled.this was when i first got my bug though.
Whats a steering wheel similar to that cost?I'm looking at the grant gt slotted style or possibly maybe the grant evolution maybe.Would it be to modern for the car?
this is the evolution, to modern?

ive always just known those pedals as cal look style
theyre just an empi product

theres a guy selling the wheel like mine new on aus ebay for $130AU
but their a base product leather momo wheel but comfy as tho

i dont think to many wheels look to modern for a bug
especially if the bug has a hint of germanlook

Veedub April 30th 2008 15:48

But mine doesnt have a hint of German Look in it or at least I dont think.
Mines 2 toned (fenders are a creme color, and body is a baby blue).I recently bought new (to me) rims for it.13x5.5's for front and 14x7's for rear. There not cal look to me though. There very light though.Just finding a nice tire size is my issue but I decided to go with 165/65/13's and 195/65/14's.
It has a 1679cc going in it too.So Im not sure it screams GL but if it is kinda, thats cool.Heres my new wheels, I dont think Ive posted a pic yet on here.

But anyway back on the steering wheels, Im thinking of getting this one possibly,Summit carries it for 24.99.Its a Grant.

Also any idea why my steering wheel has 6 bolts going around where a horn button should go?Is it a 6 bolt steering wheel? I know I have a addapter but IM not sure what steering wheel I got.I'll get a picture up of my current one.Maybe someone on here knows what I got, and i can repaint it black and buy a button for the center with the correct name and buy a new ring rubber for it.

Well heres my current steering wheel, anyone know what it is? I figured it was a Grant but its a 6 bolt, and the Grants all seem to be 3 or 5 bolt.

So is mine a Momo? And I dont know it.It has the 6 bolts like yours do around where a horn button should be.
If it is a Momo, what you guys think of this idea.Paint the spokes the blue and get a black grip to go around it, and buy a black horn button?
