So here some updates where I didn't had time for in the last week
On sunday one week ago, I resumed making my own mid mount. I almost spent an half day at it, but hell yeah it saves some (hard needed) money. But everything looks damn sexy!! B-Tuning Productions all the way  http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005000653.jpg Detailpic http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005000724.jpg Picture of the mid mount http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005000759.jpg I also welded the front brackets off, so everything is verry studdy. On the monday I most of the time drived around to get stuff. I also welded some pieces of my handbrake-bracket. Welded some nuts in the chassistunnel so I can bolt the handbrakebracket on my tunnel. On Wednesday i work hole the day on my car. I also today got my front trailingsarm back were the bushings were pushed out. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005000843.jpg |
Wednesday one week ago i welded several unused holes close in the chassistunnel, so it stays one clean thing. Also is the hole for the original handbrakecables enlarged so I still can use them on my hydraulic handbrake.
An little bit unclear picture, maja http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001037.jpg Handbrake-bracket is on. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001132.jpg Two holes in the bracket so the handbrake-cables still can be used. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001202.jpg Last one http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001227.jpg I also maked an big "cage" so could sandbalst my car one day later (thursday). Sandblasting works SUPER!!.. one side of my chassis tooked me 45 minutes. You cant keep that up with your grinder. I used an 10m3/min aircompressor, Man that thing blows some air out. On that day the hole chassis was blasted and several pieces of the body we blasted. |
On last friday I also have blasted some pieces of the body. ANd looked everything over if I had done every piece as good as it could. Worked till half past eleven that evening.

http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001745.jpg This is how it looks after +/- 15 min of blasting, you can't keep it up with your grinder. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001859.jpg |
.... NAKED TO THE BARE METAL... Just what I love :D
http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001941.jpg The "small" compressor we use (almost as wide and high as our bus) is an 10m3/min compressor. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002026.jpg Chassis is blasted on the backside the front is half way. The weelarches are also blasted as test. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002121.jpg |
Enginecompartment is blasted. The rust that you can see is after this pic also blasted away.
http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002215.jpg Wielarches, enginecompartment, raingutter, windowgutters and "kokerbalken" were blasted http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002258.jpg Chassis in the epoxy primer http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002330.jpg http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002401.jpg p.s. the underside was then not yet painted Grt Wiebrand |

SSSSSSSOOOOOO last thursday I've done something on my car (after I have worked the hole day).
This was finally the first night in two weeks that goes smooth. Everything goes as planned (what was not in the past couple of days :? ) At first I picked up the handbrakelever, then it was machined to the right diameter and after that the anti-slip traction was machined on it (don't knopw the right words for it). .. WHAT AN BEAUTY  .. I'm just proud of it.... An handmade hydraulic handbrake that just looks damn nice also. After that i welded something on the handbrakebracket and put everything together. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001844.jpg http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005001937.jpg http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002002.jpg After that the rollcage was scotched, cleaned with thinner and around midnight set in the EP. http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002112.jpg http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fo...2005002148.jpg The last friday I have to do verry verry much to be ready for the show on last saturday. |
