84 944, 98% mint condition

Okay, I'm fickle and ready for something different. Looking for a 5 series BMW, need a bigger back seat for the kids, that and I have no space for a new project car. So the 944 is going out the door.

Has the 60,000 mile service been done or at least the timing belt and or tensioner. Could you post some interior pics and a pic of the engine. How is the condition of the exhaust, normal amounts of rust??? I have looked at a few 944s and all of them had exhaust leaks from rust holes in the mufflers. Thanks...

you gotta be kidding me. i thought i was fickle, but i can hold on to them for at least a year. :D

heard you had an offer on a 6 series!!!! oooooo.

i will check with my brother. he may be interested. he has a '85 NA auto, but i think he is ready to change up.

Well, just closed a deal on the 635csi. Going to do the swap this saturday. Guy has sent tons of pictures, looks great. Wife thinks I'm on crack.

I'd upload a pic, but the site's not co-operating.

Valves dancing on pistons is a bad thing. That would have put a damper on my driving fun... and my wallet if the belt broke.

We'll just put a picture like this:

Think it will be cool, don't see many of these on the road.

jhelgesen August 16th 2004 12:14

Wow, that sucks if you don't have a 20" monitor, let me see if I can fix it.

boygenius August 16th 2004 15:47

WOW, nice looking car... Should have plenty of room in there for the kids and and anything else you need to haul around. Nice ride... :agree:

jhelgesen August 16th 2004 18:27

There, now we have a size for us normal folks.

jhelgesen August 23rd 2004 12:53

Well, made it home in one piece with the new BMW. The car is as nice as it looks in the pictures, maybe better. Has all the go fast goodies installed already, so all I need to do in swap out the tires.

There are a few cosmetic things to take care of over the next few weeks, but nothing major at this point. The drive to work this morning was somewhat shorter  Think I'll start putting $5 in the dash everytime I drive it to cover speeding tickets.

zen August 23rd 2004 18:17

sweet. congrats. so is that the daily driver?

jhelgesen August 23rd 2004 19:06

Daily, nightly, weekends, when ever I get a chance at this point.
