Ekta, does anybody use it?

Hi

I used to have Ekta on my old pc running windows 98, I cant get it to run on my pc using XP.

I have loaded PET OK.

I maybe talking in code here EKTA is the VW parts catalogue, PET is the Porsche version.

I regularly check etka for different parts and diagrams, but I do it online, on vagcat.com. You have to register on their forums to access the catalogue.
It might have a very old database compared to the offline version, but still it's ok.

I was just about to get into this..

I have been using the PET files for a while, but could not remember for the life of me the VW/Audi equivalent..

Does Vagcat.com have 1303 parts? Need to create an account and check..

Hi

I used to use vagcat but it seems now that they are having problems with VW allowing its use.

PET is great as it has all the old part numbers, the part may not be available anymore but at least you can look up old number to see what is interchangeable.

Newer versions of EKTA seem to drop old part numbers as NLAV so you cant compare old part numbers.

I've followed all the instruction to put EKTA on my PC, it always fails

I've got current ETKA system access so if anyone needs anything off the ETKA system, shoot me an email and I'll look up and put the stuff into PDF's for you.
