What's up VWader04?

Are you using a 944 master cylinder? if so how did you run your brake lines and how does your pedal feel? Thanks for your responce, Charles

What type of mounts did you use for your Momo seats?

i had a company that specializes in seat brackets make me a set to fit momo seats in my 74 sb utilizing the stock pedestal mount and tracks.

they have premade jigs to fabricate many seat/car combinations. it only took them two days.

i paid $75 each..quality is ok..for now ..a little tweeking was necessary.

I have the car stripped down..just got the pan back from the shop...brackets shaved and under driver seat battery mount added. Its off getting powdercoated now.

Once its back, i will plumb the brakes and complete the chassis setup so the body can be mounted.

no master yet..

Did you have to send them anything like your mounts or the seat for them to make it? Why are you not fully satisfied with the quality?

I took them the seat. they have the jig to make the mount but the bolt pattern varies for differents seat combos. they know the measurements for most seats, but if your local i would take the seat to be sure.

i will take a pic for you later today and post it so you can see it.

the biggest problem for me is the steering wheel in a super is about an inch to an inch and half to the left of center of seat.(even stock seats!)Its less noticible with stock seats because the seat cushion goes from the tunnel to the door..where a race seat is narrower and makes it more noticible.

So i want to move the seat to the right to compensate for this. should only require redrilling seat mount holes. other than that, they work just fine.

they do not slide, they are fixed. so if you need to adjust your seat you will need to get sliders. also, my seats do not tilt, so i cannot access the rear seats(which is ok, i am not running rear seats).but that has to do with the seat not the bracket. what seat do you plan to use?


i demand the highest quality work done for my own personal stuff. I hate to see a rushed job. I spend a lot of money on highquality parts/jobs that could of been worth the money but werent due to the quality of work put into them. especially when there done by reputable people/shops.

I wasn't sure what model seat I was going to use yet. I was looking at using Corbeau seats because the make a specific mount/slider for 71 Super Beetles, and the price is nice on the wallet.

I didn't know/realize the steering wheel placement. Now you have me paranoide.

it is still drivable and barely noticable to someone who is not looking for it. i just knew it was like that before i got my seats..so my eyes naturally inspected it. :eek:

The triple C bolts are for camber correct? How many triple c bolts do you need for the set-up? Thanks, Tow74
