Do you know this car???
Can you get a email address for this guy?
What size wheels are on this car? What other modds did he use to make this work without rubbing? I think this car has 19" rims on it!! Any help would be greatly excepted..... http://www.superbeetlesonly.com/foru...71_2_12379.jpg |

WOW. too big IMO. did you check on SBO's board? if nothing else, ask Superman (who runs it and is on here often). he probably knows.
|
Not too big, just too big for how tall that car is :)
Do you have a super, or are you interested in something similar on a standard? (My project fake-oval is on 19's) http://www.baumanfarms.com/joe/vw.jpg |
He needs much bigger brakes to get away with those large wheels... Kinda like a Civic with Dubs, just shows off the punny girlie man brakes!
|
I was going to say something about the brakes, but my finished brakes aren't done yet, so no room to talk (rears are 11" vented stratus front rotors with spirit R/T calipers, fronts are yet to be determined 13 or 14" rotors)

I have a super beetle and thanks for asking.

Hi
I took those photos a few years ago at classic car show in Sydney. I haven’t seen the guy around for a while, I’m pretty sure he just used smaller coils. I agree, it does need to come down a bit. I’m building a new car, I had 17s on my old one but I’m thinking about going 18s on the new car but I don’t want to get the Tonka toy look that some cars get with too tall rims. Steve |
You guys say what you want, that car is very hot looking!! I would go 18's only if I could put 225 40 18's all the way around the car. The pot holes in this city are ruff!! :bawling: ;)
