GL Type 3 squareback pictures

Hello all:

:help: I am looking for any pictures of GL squarebacks. I have one and want to see what I can possibly do with one. Thanks :help:

Wish I can find that magazine of mine that had that Square in it. They went all out and spend big $$$ with Porsche brakes/suspension/motor etc etc.... I would consider THAT is a GL Square!

Brian Burrows's squareback:

Vujade had a Notch GL maybe he could chime in a little...?

Wow that squareback is very GL.... nice. So I would be able to run the porsche brakes and rims and engien in a sqareback.

I saw a VW Touareg today. I like the dash set up. Will be photoshopping a pic of the dash in a sqareback to see how it looks. But I might just go with the pursche dash as well

don't bet on it. That car has a full custom chassis with the squareback body set over the top. It's built for dragracing, not necessarily High-G cornering...

Another question? I can lower the squareback like i did my beetle or is there more to it.

I adjusted the rear plates and added dropped spindles and an adjustable narrowed beam to the front of the beetle.

the rear suspension of the type3 is the same as a similar year bug. The front axle can be lowered by adjusting the splines, in a similar fashion to the rear of a bug. Apparently it's very easy but I've never done it, maybe someone with a type3 can advise...

That'll be the Square that I was referring to! That thing is wickedly tricked out... BIG $$$. But you can only go for looks, no?

Correct, first mark where it is, then just loosen the set screw/nut and pull the lower trailing arm in the front out/off the torsion bar and turn them a spline or three (up) and shove them back on, snug up the set screw/nut. Been a while since I've done one, but that should get you going on dropping a t3. Very easy to do.

Thanks for the info. Sounds as easy as the beetle was to do.
