pics of widened/flared wings (fenders) on an oval?

obviously there are lloads of pictures of late model bugs with widened or flared wings, but how about pics of an oval with wider wings? I'll need wide ones to cover the wheels of my car but I'm between two minds whether to go for widened or flared wings, I need to get the ones that look best with the small oval tail lamps and blade bumpers. This could make or break the overall look of the car.

any pics come to mind guys?

sorry, no pics, but widened, no question! Flared would be like fitting europa bumpers on an early car...

yeah I thought so, but I'd still like to see just to put my mind at ease... :)

cheers John, that exactly what I was looking for. tell me, what trailing arms do you have fitted? What width and offset are those wheels? I'm presuming they're Boxster Sport Classics? So 8.5J x 17 ET50 rears?

My 61' with 1 1/4" widened CCC rear fenders and hood. My body guy loves them. Quality and fit is great.

hi trevor, correct they the offset is about 50mm, i have n/a porsche irs arms on but need 35-40mm spacers to get the distance to the wheels right. Remmel said 40mm over with these arms or 70mm over with the turbo arms .Got the larger wings to give me more scope with wheel offsets in the future ,spacers are cheap in comparison with new wings and paint jobs
hope this helps

jon
P.S give remmel a ring he really does know what he is talking about ,and sent me a full spec sheet with all the arms offsets and wheel options for each set of arms and wings .I am in america at the mo so don't have them on me.

thanks bullyboy for the pics, and for the info speedy. I've got the narrower of the two types of alu trailing arms, so will be slightly wider than your n/a ones.
