Fitting Porsche Headlight Rings/Buckets

I know that Porsche 911 headlight lens will fit early fenders with the original VW buckets and rings, but will the entire 911 bucket and ring fit too? I've see painted 911 headlight rings on ebay from time to time and was wondering... :confused:

I'm not sure if they will fit but why not just strip the original VW ones and paint them.

Hi

I fitted the whole headlight to my bug. They fit OK, they do use a different style of lower mounting bolt.

I have early fenders on my '70, and the porsche lenses are a bolt on. No modifications neccesary.
