Superbeetle Weight Distribution Cornerweighted?

Does anyone know what the stock (or close) Weight Distribution is?

If it's a non stock what mods are done?

Has anyone ever had their cars cornerweighted? What were the results? Mods?

I have read it somewhere a few times that the average weight bias is 40% front and 60% rear.

I have read that too, lots in my work with FWD cars..

I'm wondering about the beetle though. I don't think the engineers would have cared what the weight dist. is; given the cars point and purpose.

Any ideas?

Hi

You jsut need to see where the jack points are to see the centre of the cars weight is.

jack points?

Hi

Those little square things under the running boards, just in front of the rear wheel. When you jack a bug up there both the wheels on the one side will lift up. This shows how far rearward the weight distribution is. I know 50/50 would be ideal, but bugs have great success with their less than ideal weight distribution in all sorts of motorsport.

Corner weighting a car can really make a difference.
