CSP Exhaust

I am thinking of picking up the CSP performance exhuast system. You may have seen it advertized, it is the one with the dual mufflers up near the heads, and actually exits via the stock rear apron spots.

Anyone using this, or know any more about this? I am partially going for looks (shame on me  ) and it would be nice to utilize the factory holes.

Only other downside is it is pricey

Thanks,
-Paul

There's very the same system existing from BAS, but also there are fitment problems. The CSP system runs very good on smaller engines up to 2l/120HP with smaller cams like the W-110. It is torquey, makes a very nice sound and looks near like an original from the rear! I sold and built it on many times w/o problems!

What is your best deal there? Ask in my forum for a good deal, maybe I can do something for you.

Some engine specs from you would be helpful!

Thanks, the best deal here in the US is $498.00 for the aluminized steel.

The engine is only a 1776.

Also, I am not familiar with BAS. Could someone clue me in there. Link?

Thanks,
-Paul

CSP BAS

Anyone know if this exhaust will allow the use of a traditional style Traction Bar, and Camber Compensator???

Yes you can use a traction bar along with the exhaust. - there is not much room left, but it will work.
BAS for one, has the bar in stock. Sometimes it requires a little modification to make it fit.

So are you all saying that this CSP exhaust is good for a small engine? I want one for my hopped up 1600DP, what do ya think?

Farmer January 16th 2003 05:09

A 1600 cc. with stock valves and heater boxes will be on the small side, because the primaries are 1½". It will work with a little loss of bottom end. but it has been done before. Better yet, get 1½" heaterboxews or J-tubes. Then you will at least have equal restance in the primaries.

What's the ID of the stock exhaust? I know it is less than 1.5

BAS vs CSP

Well it actually looks like after the Euro to Dollar exchange rate. It would be cheaper to order the BAS system from Germany than the CSP-US marketed similar system.

I am still curious if there is any real difference between the CSP and BSP system. Anyone?
