Help me pick a color.
I'm working on a 71 Super right now and I need to make up my mind soon about the color. I would like some input from you guys, if you don't mind.
I've narrowed it down to two. Either the 2005 Subaru Crystal Grey or the 2005 Mitsubishi Graphite Grey Pearl. Let me know which one you like and why. I'm torn! Here is the Mitsu GGP http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...mr.f34.500.jpg http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...mr.act.500.jpg Here is the Sooby Crystal Grey (The darker "earthy" grey) http://members.roadfly.com/mike/bg.jpg~original http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...m.jpg~original More colors at the bottom of pg.1 and on pg. 2* |

my choice would be....2005 Mitsubishi Graphite Grey Pearl
|
I posted this topic on three other boards and the Graphite Grey Pearl has the most votes so far. I personally like it because it's not a color you would see very often.
Please, keep the responces coming! |
2005 Mitsubishi Graphite Grey Pearl has got my vote.
Personally I dont like silver on bugs... There are a few examples where it really works well, but I think its a colour for bigger cars... If you see what I mean. Too common these days too. Or Jaguar British Racing Green, thats ALWAYS a nice colour ;) :D http://www.bobsclassics.com/sold/53ju12.jpg Cya, Sam C |
Samcat- That's funny that you mention British Racing Green because I've got a recommendation for that color by at least five different people. A darker green color was on my top five list of colors, but I decided against in favor of the Graphite Grey Pearl.

The Graphite Grey Pearl will go with most any color you want to put with it. I like the color too. :agree:

I think the Suby color is beautiful and lends a touch of class far beyond what the Evo does. The Suby color reminds me of a Porsche color. Looks like $$$.

This is the color I went with and it's going to be ready in two weeks!
I'm so excited. I've been wanting to paint my car for years!
For those of you who haven't seen my "old" paint scheme..feel free to look it up. It is GAWD AWFUL..... anyway...this is the color I chose: http://www.customfastbackca.com/Tota...?1022651290026 http://www.customfastbackca.com/TheC...?1022651253263 http://www.customfastbackca.com/Pete...?1022655378004 http://www.customfastbackca.com/Side...?1022654161615 |
I'm bringing this thread back from the archieves because I've changed my mind again
I had my heart set of the Graphite Grey Pearl (Mitsu color) but then I tried picturing it with chrome accents, and it didn't seem like it would work well. I also tried to picture it with a different (lighter) colored wheel, and it also didn't look right. So I started searching, again. My first stop was Porsche. I looked through their new and old colors, but nothing seemed all that special. Then I came across this beauty- http://redline925.com/carpics/sears_rain_oct23/1.jpg That isn't a Subaru color, but it was a lead! Turns out that is acutally BMW's #400 Steel Grey. It's got many different shades depending on the lighting, but it's not as dull as the Mitsu Graphite Grey Pearl. Here is a picture of it on an actual BMW (low light again)- http://photos.performanceix.com/view...68d0581281f376 Here is a better lit picture, but it's big. Sorry! http://photos.performanceix.com/view...1494c2411396cb I think this color would look much better with chrome accents (bumper and handles) than the GGP and since the color is a bit lighter, it would look good with silver wheels or even gold/bronze wheels with a nice polished lip. I'm also giving some thought to BMW's Steel Blue- http://photos.performanceix.com/view...7306e465e792ae What do you guys think? |
