Ok, I'm from Reading, England.
I currently own a 72 1300. The plan so far is smoothed trim, smoothed dash, lowered, stripped race interior, Porsche 996 wheels and brakes and a big engine to match. When I get in from work i'll update this thread with some photo's of how the beetle is at the moment.. and a larger write up. :)

It's my first beetle (in fact my first full build)

It very much depends, as i've decided (depending on advice I get) on some 17" porsche 996 wheels for it. So if I do that, I may go for porsche brakes all round to make it a bit easier. Obviously it needs to get a bit nearer the floor too.

you seen the beetle brakes drilled for porsche on ebay?

freshprince November 19th 2007 16:45

no.....

was referring to these. don't think they'd fit yours thou as think they for a super (1302/1303) beetle. nevermind, just would be an easy way to get porsche stud pattern on to your car. do plenty of searches on here and read through the threads, lots of info and lots of options. prob best thing to do first is work out your budget, can go very quickly!!
