Search me, I've called boygenius a few times. No answer, I know it's him from his voice mail message. :laugh: They ran away together like Thema and Louise.

We havn't heard from him in a while. He had built a Cal- Look car and I think he is hanging with that crowd now.

Lost another one...

When I first came on board here and at SBO!, he was always quick to respond to my questions. I got to meet him in Tampa last November. One of things that stuck in my mind was the impromptu drag race he got into in front of Fisher's against a car that couldn't leave the starting line.

I remember he had a nice 1302 that he had a sunroof grafted in. The paint job was sub-standard so he got rid of what was going to be his German Looker. I know he had at least a couple of interesting Type 3's at different times but I don't think either were kept or converted to GL'ers.

I keep thinking he will some day reappear with a GL project that will see its fruition. Cal Look and German Look are very different from each other but one doesn't have to exclude the other.

I used to see him on STF and Cal-Look from time to time, but it's been awhile. He was in the final stages with his drag car... :confused:

And though I visit Cal-Look daily and have a lot of drag racing friends, I'm not going anywhere... :D

If anyone ever gets ahold of him, please forward some contact info this way...

This from The Samba. Looks like he's been away a while. Anybody got any Datona connections to do a little recon & clear this up?

I've noticed from past experiences that people seem to disappear when they loose interest, get what they want, owe money, or spontaneously combust :eek: :laugh: .

Last time i heard/saw Joe was in Georgia at the Silver Dollar Race. No car, because he had just dropped a nut/screw down his intake and fired it up! Haven't seen him on the forums (CLF, STF, GL) since then either.

I'll PM you his cell number. Let us know hows he's doing.

Well guys, for the record, I am alive and well. Just found this thread about
me. Glad to see some of you missed me :D

After the Georgia Bolt in the intake episode, it really took alot out of me.
But I got the car back on the road a few weeks later and finally started
enjoying it. Wrenchride hit the nail on the head with one of his guesses.
I finally got what I wanted. Not that I didn't want a GL, but not nearly
for as long as I wanted a really fast Cal Looker! So after the bad paint
experience (which cost me $4500 :bawling: ), I decided to sell my Super
and sell my 300ZX and build a sweet 67 Resto Cal Looker. I also finally
achieved another one of my life long dreams as well and bought a 1999
911 Carrera.

I have finally achieved two lifelong dreams and have been driving and
enjoying both of them... :D

Future plans do include building a really nice late model GL Super ;)

I really love my 996. When they first came out I wasnt sure about their
style, but over the last number of years it has really grown on me. You
can really see so much of the older Porsche's in the rear of the 996.

I also want a 996TT, GT2 or GT3.

I bought a Boxster first, and used it as a stepping stone to get into a
996. Then I figured I would use this car to get into a TT or GT.

A GT2 would be awesome!

If i were to do it, i'd buy one mildly modded from Cali. Fly out and drive back!

Definitely out of mine as wel... been toying with the idea of building
