Very nice pedal set-up! Did you have to modify the bulkhead much? It looks like it overlaps the body/chassis join. What pedals are they?

Rich

Panelfantastic July 5th 2006 13:28

INCREDIBLE!
Please post more pics?

The base of the brake pedal has a cable coming across and out to the right and going into the tunnel? What does this do?

Jeff-

PJLOval July 5th 2006 14:43

My guess is that the other end of the cable goes to an adjusting knob so he can adjust the brake bias from the driver's seat on the fly. Just a guess.

You are rigth,
And the pedals I think are Tilton.

volkdent July 6th 2006 20:38

Everyones got a place for something like that!!! With that little bracket thing I made, mine fits really easily and no body cutting.

DORIGTT July 8th 2006 12:27

I recognize the brake and pedal combination, but what is the make of the accelerator pedal?

Is your trans/engine mount bracket made by you? Is that tied into the body? It appears that you have 2 tabs that go upward.

Verrry nice.:agree:

I'm sorry but that's just crazy sick, just so nice and clean it sucks that you are going to race this thing but also great too.
what kinda pedals are those?

volkdent August 6th 2006 02:01

Hey, we have the same front calipers! What made you decide to use Wilwood over a European brand? I'm sure Wilwood must be harder to come by there than here?

Jason

ricola August 6th 2006 06:15

Wilwood are getting very popular over here, very cheap compared to the competition and their catalogue lends itself to helping you out with bespoke set-ups with lots of dimensions available
Rich

volkdent August 6th 2006 12:52

It does take a lot of the pain out of do-it-yourself. I just wondered how easy it was to get standard fittings and tubing on the continent.

The price of Wilwood calipers is ok :righton:
It´s no problem to get Wilwood in europe.

Wally August 7th 2006 07:36

Hello Heinz,

Very impressive
But why has the Throttle Body linkage such long rods, which has the risk of heating up and elongating differently? wasn't a push-pull set-up possible at all?

Is the Remmele exhaust 4 into 1 or 4-2-1?

Tnx,
Walter

Hello Walter

At this time I have no better idea
I think heating up is no problem........the engine runs only for 10-15 minutes
The Remmele exhaust is 4 into 1

regards,
Heinz

Wally August 7th 2006 17:54

Thanks!

Did you choose the 4 into 1 because of space restrictions?
(cause I thought that 4-2-1 usually gave a bit more mid-range torque)

Grüsse,
Walter

Hi Walter

Sorry, but Remmele exhaust is not correct.....it´s made by Kurt Hassmann
for 4-2-1 there is no place (under the engine)......wheels 13"

Regards,
Heinz

Wally August 9th 2006 01:40

Ah, thanks for the answer. I thought so about the space reasons.

Kurt Hassmann participated in the old KäferCup series right? I believe his brother did also. Very experienced people. Do they have their own shop nowadays?

Danke,
Walter
