Really great replies everybody!!! Don't forget that I'm also interested in the why. There is quite a fan club for the momo steering wheels. Why are they the best? The more input the better. Thanks again for all of your replies!!

You should consider nothing else, this is the finest craftsmanship and quality.

I couldn't agree more! (if price is out of the question)
The why has been explained, but you could add that recaro fits a german-style car best, just because of the name and because they use it in the faster porsches (and GTi's iirc). Still, a similar light-weight quality Sparco-seat would do well also I suppose.
I like th epole position model best because I think it has a wider seat (for my fat *ss :lmao: )

I absolutely agree, plus they can be had on the cheap from the race car guys. I scored a set of NICE leather 944 seats from a racetrack refugee for way less than I could have reupholstered my stock Sport Bug seats, or bought any Sparco, Corbeau, Recarro, or MOMO seats.

I would love to have had any of the aforementioned lounges in my car, but to me, money is definitely an object,..and I don't want to spend much more.:o

Hi

Every Momo steering wheel I have ever used was made to very high standard, particularly the hub and horn button.

I have a set of vintage Recaro Concorde's from my old 1302, they are going to go in my new 1303, I bought them in 1978, the vinyl still looks like new and the seats are as solid as when I bought them.

I have adapted a set of Honda Prelude seats to my daily 1303 and they are very comfortable. they are also not to big for a bug interior.

I bought some used Scat Procar Rally seats. Steering wheel is a cheap p.o.s.

The Celica seats in my '73 which are mounted on bugpack frames are as comfortable as my wifes A6 - they are awesome - thanks again Dave!!!

As for the steering wheel I am looking to replace mine with a Momo and was looking at the Monte Carlo - do they all have the same dish?

I used the honda del sol seats, very comfortable. I intend to reuse them when my car is running again.

Toyota MR2 seats, the drivers seat has like 5 or 6 adjustments.
Forward and back, recline, lumbar in and out, side bolsters in or out, headrest up and down and tilt front or back, etc.

I really like them, they are nice even on the longest ride and I have a bad back.
