Lightweight Battery
Anyone using a lightweight battery? Or know of any batteries being used in race applications.
Im looking for opinions or reviews of a very small and light battery. Ive looked at these two models...Any one have any opinions on them or any other batteries? Odyssey PC680 @15lbs Braille Auto B14115 @11.5lbs |
I dont know about "light-weight" batteries...but knowing a couple of guys who race Porsche's around my area annually run with optima yellow tops.
These batteries are by far one of the best deep cycles out there. They are perfect for racing...thinking thats what your looking for? |
I got a lawnmower battery.
Haven't put many miles on it, but it is very capable of starting and running my 2.5 liter Sube engine. Rob. |
for racing they use moterbike battery`s.

Try a Mazda Miata battery.

Odyssey makes a 3cell deep cycle dont they..
im sure you could use that for racing .. all it needs to do is start the car right.. peace |
got the Odyssey PC680 and mounting bracket. Its small. About 15lbs. Mounts flat against floorpan.
Need to decide if im going to mount it in the stock location or under the passenger seat. Im not running a back seat so if I put it under the driver or passenger seat it would be hidden from view. So I think I would put it there. http://img3.imagevenue.com/loc225/th_96a_680flat.jpg |
Nice...Ive never seen a battery like that before...do you have a link so I can check it out?
