HI. german look ?

Hello, I'm here to be Uber german look.

What up?

Question, can you have German look and link pin?

NO_H2O May 14th 2007 08:05

Hello James2. Yes you can do Link pin. It is a bit out dated but you can do it.

Hi James,

I'll let you in on a little secret: German 'Style' is not about looks at all...
In fact, German Look is actually a 'contradictio in terminis' :D Its perse not 'just another -look(er)'
Its the engineering that counts and how that looks eventually is somewhat secondary and really just a way to recognise what 'kind of car' it is (underneath).

Just my opinion of course and does not neccesarily concur with the opinion of the owners of this board LOL.

hi james. welcome to the dark side. we finally got to you, huh? :D

plenty of l/p's on here. obviously has it's preformance challenges compared to the newer technologies, but budget often dictates.

would love to hear what you have planned.

Not sure what I'm going to do.

Just tired of drag racing. Would like a car that doesn't push when going around a corner.

Here is where I'm heading now. I have a 915 5 speed. Convert my Oval to IRS, install 5 speed and a 2276 I have with a DTM, I have. EFI of course.

Wheels, like the Porsche twist, but may stick with a stock wide 5 wheel. Undecided.

4 wheel disc, don't know anything about, but want.

Was thinking of finding a ball joint/IRS pan, and putting my body on it. But my pan is in good shape and it seems easier to work with it. But it's link pin:mad:

One thing for sure, my car will not be as nice as yours.

Ideal, the car will handle well, still run decent 1/4 times and be able to go on a long drive.

Well good to see another oval sliding to the dark side. I'm putting my 57 on a IRS pan, Pretty straight forward, you just need to cut down the rear body mounts inside the the rear wheel wells (2). Good luck with you project whatever way you go...JR
