Porsche front suspension on '03

I've heard there's a cartain model of Porsche front suspension that's a straight swap for the early 1303. Is this true, and does anyone know which type it is?

I know for sure it's not the 944 turbo, as I have a complete set that, while the rears have bolted straight on, the fronts look more like the Golf set-up!

Any help would be appreciated, and I'm sure this question has been asked before, so just point me to the right thread! :D

the only thing that I know of thats a straight bolt on (with the use
of a special ball joint from Kerscher) is the 944 spindle w/ 944 brakes.
from an early 944 (non turbo)

Ok, here's an update!

Earlier, I said a certain model of Porsche will fit a certain model of '03, but its not the 944.
Well, I was in our local club's communal workshop, and my mate brought in a late model '03 with uprights that look a direct match for my 944 hubs!

So could it be that all I need would be the late set-up?

I'm hoping so! I'll keep people posted....

Sounds like you have an early Super. Yes, you will need to use the late Super suspension in your early Super to convert the 944 brakes.

You need the struts, control arms, and sway bar from the late car and fit this to your early Super.

Yeah dude, cheers!

Swapped the lot over - perfect fit!

My mate was only too pleased with her free upgrade to discs!

All I need now are the ball joints.

Kerscher Tuning

I have removed the lower ball joint form my 1303 control arm for the conversion to 944 brakes. I Kerscher Tuning the only one that makes a ball joint for this conversion? Is there anyone state side?

What's up effvee?

As far as I know kerscher is the only one who makes the ball joint for the 944 conversion. There is a place called " PACIFICIE.com" , they are a US distributor for kerscher. they can get them from kerscher for you. I recieved mine a week ago from them, the good thing for you is that they are located in california, right were you are so your shipping should not be that much, but mine was up there because I live in Maryland. There number is 818-845-0040 ask for "ANDY" he will help you. Good luck on your conversion. Peace! TOW74,
