Fox News is run by Rupert Murdoch. A Brit.

Superman December 8th 2004 23:36

The kids of South Park don't like Canada :p ;) :D

Mikey December 9th 2004 00:59

It's amazing how ignorant some people can be.

Steve C December 9th 2004 08:03

Hi

Sorry to say Rupert was born down under, but is now a US citizen.

Sorry, thought he was british. My only point was that he wasn't GWB, or family.

it's called ratings. the print is horribly structured for out-of-context impact. notice how they left out some of the key sarcasm inbetween hitting comments that you get from the video. it is no different than how Georgians make fun of Alabama and visa versa. it is always fun to poke fun.

weak example: why do you think Mercedes-Benz built their newest plant in Alabama a few years back? answer: endless supply of crash test dummies.

also keep in mind that most Americans exposure to Canada was via the McKenzie Brothers and South Park. Eh? :D

so what jokes do the Canadians have of American's? we never get to hear them.

The only thing I have to say is ...

WORLD CUP OF HOCKEY 2004 BAYBEE !

hockey? who's playing that? it's killing me. i have been having to go to ECHL games. cheap and 8 miles from the house, but still not NHL.

as for the cup, doesn't hurt when you get 6 extra months of ice age conditions for kids to grow up practicing in. :D

I certainly hope Canadians don't think what Coulter, et al, have to say is somehow representative of how most Americans feel about Canada.

Bullyboy December 11th 2004 00:27

I think it funny that the yanks are pretending they are from Canada when they travel abroad. There is a company down south that is selling a kit with a lapel pin, patch, sticker, t shirt, and manual "how to speak Canadian Eh".

Shadowbug December 14th 2004 11:32

I have to say, I am a Canadian Conservative, and have been in support of the US and their president on many issues over the last 4 years, but even I'm getting tired of this crap. Why is is that they feel the need to ostrasize and ridicule anything they don't understand (which seems to be a lot)

the comment that sums it up best by a canadian commentator, "you need us more than we need you"
Now don't get me wrong I like the US but I can do without the Nutjobs on both ends of the political spectrum (we have them too, but just not as many)

rustbucket December 14th 2004 11:58

We can do without the nutjobs too. Unfortunately it's all we've got right now. I Think the thing to remember is most people don't dislike people from a particular country, they dislike that country's govt. I've travelled all over the world and never had a problem with someone because I'm American.

oasis December 15th 2004 14:10

As much as I like Canada, I only pretend to be Canadian when traveling to Cuba.
