real road trip
 

i have to go out to San Diego on business in late May. as luck would have it, there are no car shows in Southern Cali on the weekend before or after. what are the odds of that?

BUT...

the trailing weekend, May 30th, there is a show in Sacramento. it is Bug-o-rama. time for a road trip. i convinced the wife to come out for the week and trying to make flight, rental car, and hotel arrangements to take a Saturday road trip of there. Mapquest says 8 hours. figure we may go see some races Saturday night, get an early start on Sunday for the show and then jump a red-eye to get back to real life.

fingers crossed that i pull this off.

That is very cool if you can actually have a business trip coincide with an event like that and have the family involved.
