My H4's are "uneven". One's brighter than the other? How do I fix?
 

As far as I know..the lights were grounded on both sides. Just wondering why the passenger side light is brighter than the drivers side and what could I do to fix it? Fuse? Wiring? The bulbs are brand new.

Any suggestions appreciated.

maybe some how you have the low and high beam wires switched up on one of them.

First off, check voltage to the bulbs. If you have more voltage going to one or the other, check the grounds first off, or ground them to the same point on the car. If the voltage is the same then try switching the bulbs to different sides and see if the bulb is just not as bright as the other. Check pointing also..it might be one just looks brighter because of where its pointing.

This happened to me when replacing the bulbs in our EuroVan. I did a bulb swap first and the differences in brightness swapped also. It turned out one bulb was just a bad bulb.

Ok...After backing the car out of the garage I looked at the lights again and it DOES seem like the brighter one was merely pointed slightly higher somehow and that was what was causing the problem.

NOW...I have a bigger issue Which I'll put on a separate post to ensure replies.
After placing the tail-lights on...None of my signals work. No Left...NOo right...No hazards...no break lights. Oddly...The running lights work fine..eg. the lights that come on when the switch goes on.
The Turn signal actuator is brand new and all of the fuses are brand new and fine.
I have a sinking feeling the wiring is to blame...maybe a bad ground?
Headlights still work fine.

Any thoughts?
