Richard Grant front spoiler from England!
 

I won this spoiler on Ebay a while back and thought I would show how it fit. Its pretty much just like the Kamei spoiler except that it has air ducts in it that flow air right to the brake area. So I assume that was the intent on the design of it. I have personally never seen one of these around before but the guy I won it from says he has had it in storage since 1985 . Since it is an older piece and I dont want to break it because it sits so low (and my Topline MAxx struts are at the highest setting) I take it on and off because where I live there are speed bumps galore and alot of driveways have huge dips. I am however trying to get someone to make a copy of it for me so I will see how that goes!

thanks.. i love your cars new stance too. i really want to get that same stance but i have to worry about my deep sump scraping like i scrap the spoiler!!!:bawling:

what wheels are those? i think i've seen them on another bug before?

The wheels are Velox VX6R's 17x7. They are a discontinued wheel from Velox and only weigh 16.5 pounds which is really good for a 17 inch wheel.

not to take away from the thread but are these the same ones?

Are those the pics from JSports website? If so I have seen those rims before and they are almost identical to my wheels but are from antoher manufacturer. The rims they use are made by P1 Racing.

I scratched my head in the past on the problem of running low. Back then, the car was in Algiers and the speed bumps out there were ridiculously high. I resolved my problem with pneumatic shocks and inboard compressor. But this is not applicable for McPherson front. And putting the spoiler back and forth must be a turn off (I’m lazy, that would be for me)...

Why don’t you try to make some kind of “skates” to make sure that if you scratch, you scratch on something more solid than your spoiler. Something made of mild steel connecting on the 2 last fender screws (the front end is quite light, that is certainly enough for accidental light contacts) and dropping lower than the spoiler by a few millimeters. That might be made of square tubing 1” and plate ¼” and look somehow like this:
