My cylinders
 

Good afternoon, I dropped off my cylinders to brothers for them to do the final honing for 103mm bore. I needed them to also re-position the stud pattern. I have heard very little on the subject of plasma coating. Since I know nothing on this subject is there anyone out there that can say that, that technology is better than the nickel seal coating . Nickel seal coating from U.S. Chrome is quite pricey per cylinder. However if there is a newer technology that offer the same hi protective ability when applied to aluminum, I'd like to know and utilize it.

A nikasil coating will probably always be be less pricy then most other coating options out there. Plus with nikasil you have the benefit to know what rings to use as Porsche has all the experience with that ;-)
