2.0L fi to carbs
 

Was wondering if it is possible and what mods need to be made when converting a Type IV 2.0L from FI to Carbs ?! Also what mods need to be done to the Bug (1302) itself to fit a Type IV besides uprightcnversion ?!Any extra info is welcome and appreciated !

Hi,

I did just what you are proposing. I've installed a 2.0 from a 914 that originally had FI into my bug.

Aside from the usual upright conversion items, I would suggest a cup brace as I have terrible wheel hop at the moment.

I have a stock 2.0 with 44 IDF's and a BAS header with custom exhaust. The engine still has the original FI cam in it.
