Brazilian BJ spindle with 944 mount
Seen it in the gallery and WOW, that is great!! A spindle for the Standard Bug guys with the 944 mount. If I weren't a Super guy (meaning I owned a Standard) this is what I would have to have!!! What car is this from? Is the mount 76 or 94mm? Who found out about it?

Gerd Kummetat showed it to me while being in Germany. He is using it for his new drag racer.
It is from Brazil. I will try to find out which car and whcih bolt spacing it has. Alex |

Here is the info from Kummetat:
It is a Brazilian VW SP1 spindle. I am not sure if the SP2 spindle is the same. The bolt spacing is for 944 NA calipers or early 911 calipers. You might need to get a spacer to center the disk properly. Alex |
Is that a drop spindle or is that wishful thinking? Or is it cast just like a stock spindle? Thanks for the info, very informative.. JR
hey any ideas where you could pick up a set? |
very interesting and interested. i have to get some spindles in the next week or so. was going CB dropped depending on what the answer is on these. any info and contact info is appreciated.

Those do look very interesting. Sure would save me some work.

I thought that stock spindles are forged. It is not a dropped spindle and I ahve been told that they are extremely hard to get.

if someone was ambitious enough, they could find a pair and then contact someone like CB Performance to see if they could have them manufactured into a forged lowered spindle.
