What tranny do I have?
 

I bought a project buggy and pulled out the tranny, the tranny number is 002 301 173A.

Where can I find info to ID this tranny.

That's a part number, you want the code instead. Look on the side of the gear box (the small end of the tranny) for an embossed code of two letters and numbers on a flat area. This is what you need to know. It will start with like AH and then the serial number. You just need to know the letters.
