The backing plate... I got stock Ghia backing plates, and welded some 2.25" exhaust tubing to them, then I cut the holes. I used
some 2.5" silicone hose from Racers Wholesale to connect the scoop to the plate. The scoop is the inner fenderwell air intake from a 88 escort gt. I just pop riveted them on. No more fade. Yeah I know my rotors aren't cross drilled, but it still definitly helps brake temps when zooming in and out of traffic. |

Cool, I have never heard of this before, is there someone eles (or model of car) that dose this?? Looks good though, good idea.....JR

Nice work.. but does the tubing not hit the tires by wide steering??

for those stripping 944/951 parts, my 951 uses a similar setup. they have a funneled intake in the nose. there is then a delector to redirect that pipe of air to the vented rotors. there is no hosing inbetween. you might be able to use those pieces.

The tires don't rub on the hoses. Amazing.
