Weber ict fan housing problem...
Ive got a pair of weber ict's and am wondering if anyone has the same problem I have. I cant seem to be able to adjust the air mixture screw because its to close to the fan housing and the side of my chrome firewall. Do you have any suggestions on tuning my carbs? Thanks.

90 deg. ratcheting screw driver.

This might not be legal, but the best tool I own for tuning carbs is a dime that's been filed down to fit in the slot of the screw. Plus, you can't argue with the cost of the tool.....

i have a similar problem with my weber progressive...the idle mixture screw is between the shroud and the carb. easiest thing i've found to adjust it is one of those souvenir squished pennies you get in tourist traps. or stick one on the railroad tracks and let the train squish it for you :silly:

I had one of those years ago (progresive), used a real long pair of needle nose pliers.

It's not against the law to damage money. After all, you earned it, so it belongs to YOU, and you have the right to do with it what you want.
I tried the dime trick on DRLA's. Yetibone |
I know my old Kadrons and current Dellorto FRD's have one of the screws (can't remember which) has a finger-turnable knob instead of being turned via screwdriver. There's not that much drag on these screws, so it would seem as if you could modify yours to operate in the same way. Cheers!
