New Front Brakes!!
1 Attachment(s)
Just got the photos loaded for my new front brakes...
Any guesses as to the caliper brand? Yeah Babe! |
sweeeeeeeeeeet!!! :D
|
Nice brakes.........
How about mazda brake calipers.:silly: |
Correct, that lasted all of 5 mins!
93-95 RX-7 front calipers. I think these should stop a 2000lb bug ok? :) Along with the 944T rears. |
I had a 1988 GXL and it would stop on a dime. Really nice brakes...:yummy:
|
With a little bit of powdercoating and some porsche transfers who'll know the difference.
|
Craig,
please email me some pics......for the brake galleriers. It is always good to have different things to show. Happy new year, Alex |
Is that a Franklins VW Werks setup?
|
Yup, with late model Rx-7 calipers instead of the 86-92 year ones...just look a little nicer (do difference in piston or pad size, but are more expensive).
But at $190 each fully rebuilt still cheaper than porsche. They're currently being powdercoated....will see Alex more photo's once completed. |
So what car is this going on?
|
1969 vw floorpan with flared speedster tab...the 5 year project.

hi
they look like there made by brembo ! whats the spacing between the mounting holes on them? |

I thought that they came with porsche 944 turbo calipers. Were the Mazda calipers an option. |
Yup, they are an option.
Weight is about the same, but cost and parts are cheaper, piston's are about the same or slightly larger. |
Hmm, your project sound sfamiliar somehow :D
