Yes....it is true.

To be honest....if it goes I will be sad and happy. I think a lot changed when my son was born....and this winter and not being able to drive that piece of junk (Echo) did not help the cause either.

I will not do another project. There is no point. Then it is just easier to keep what I have. This was in my head for quite a while.....

I might not be able to make it on Tuesday. My wife has a course to attend and I am stuck with the kid. I will try to find someone watch him.

Lets wait and see......

Alex

Alex, you're too close to give up now :)

boygenius February 8th 2004 23:46

Hang on to your car so you can start your child's VW hobby. Think about how cool it will be in a couple of years when father and son can bond in the garage working in daddy's car. Think about it. :agree:

Yeah Alex,

I see what you are doing. Sell it and buy a Porsche 930 and spank all our asses on the track ;)
Sad to hear that you are selling it, I was looking forward to seeing it finished.

See you tuesday.....I hope
B

P.S. Does this mean you will part it out??
*as the ACVW part vultures begin to loom overhead*

i hope not. the car should be finished, and driven as Alex "designed" it to be.

Panelfantastic February 9th 2004 21:12

Saddest thing I've heard in a while.

Especially when somebody with enough sack to take a split and do it right doesn't get to see it through.

Sandeep February 9th 2004 22:49

Alex,

Try and make the meet tomorrow ... If this is a matter of finding time to finish the project, I'm sure we can try and take a few weekends to help you get it all together, except for the motor.

We're here to help !

Alex,

I told you the Toronto troops would come to help. Give them a few days and their help will turn your thoughts around. Sometimes it takes some serious progress to help keep things going. Hope you guys can help Alex out. Wish I was closer to come over. I do know how much it helps me when my friends come over and lend a hand on my two projects. Those of us too far away to help will be rooting for you all.

alex, finish the car. let it take longer if it needs too and defintely take advantage of your friend's offers to help out. i know that mind shift that comes with having a kid. it is very important that you spend time with them, but it is equally important that you make time for yourself as well. if you get rid of the car under these conditions, you will always regret it.
