Hood Alignment
 

Word Up!


I bought myself some of the gas struts for the hood of my bug, but I am having trouble aligning the hood back to the lip of the surrounding metal. It's either too low or too high on the left or the right side. Do any of you people have any suggestions or ways to fix this?

I marked where the hood was before I removed i and then adjusted after I installed the gas struts. I don't now how to go about fixing this, other than measuring and a lot of trial and error.

Since I havent repainted the bug yet the old paint showed up where the hood was originaly! I tried it there but it still was messed up. But you are right, its going to be a lot of trial and error!!:( Oh well, thats how you learn to work on cars!
