Volvo oil coolers in
 

I fitted 2 Volvo oil coolers this weekend. They look like they will be a great fit and not block a Cup Brace. I made stand-off brackets from 1/8 X 3/4 aluminum and they are 1.5 inch off the body. 2 small fans will be fitted to each cooler when I find some.

Nice coolers there, what model Volvo are they from? they could be just what I need.

I'm not sure what they came out of, I picked them up at a swap meet for $10 ea. If you get some from a salvage yard be sure to get the lines too. I had to do some looking for the fittings.

Try some motorcycle radiator fans for your oil coolers. They are small enough
to fit and will push or pull alot of air for their size. I can measure mine if you want.

I have to visit my storage center, thats where the other half of my car lives. :laugh: I'll keep my eyes open at work to see if I can find any laying around. ;)

I got a sale flyer from my friends at www.partsexpress.com and they had heavy duty-high output 4.5 x 4.5 x 1 inch, 110 cfm, ball bearing fans with gaurds in the buy-out blow-out page for $2.50 ea. so I have 4 of them on the way to mount on the coolers. :agree:

I think I will check them out tonight...
