9 inch rears under stock arches?
Hey
Will these wheels fit under tock arches?? I am running porsche 944 rear disks which increases tracking by 25mm ish! Rears: 9J x 17 ET47 looking at a set of cup ones for my bug!!! please help! |
i don't believe so, but can't speak with 100% confidence. the lower offset helps get it away from the spring plate, but i think it is going to push the lip out past the fender. especially with the added track width of the brakes.

No.
You will need at least 2 inch wider fenders, and mabye some cutting on the rear bump-stops. |
.
hey
they wont fit under stock guards, i have 9's with 2'' wider guards and my brother has 8.5's under stock guards!!! but majors grinding to bump stop and body mount and abit of a pull on the guards lol... they awsome wheels ya lookin at though would like to get some myself.. cya cya |
9" wheels are a tight fit with 1-1/4" wider-than-stock CCC(fiberglass) fenders on an IRS car with the single springplates....it requires grinding the chassis bump-stop, and modifying the forwardmost springplate bolt.
As a rule I tell people 6" backspace max...and with the 1-1/4" wider-than-stock fenders, 4" frontspace. |
cheers guys, not adding wider fenders so the search for a set of 7 inch rims begins

With stock fenders and IRS suspension I'd go with something like a 7" ET38-45
