wow, another project
 

I finally made enough room in my driveway to bring my bug over to the house. I got to looking at and realize how bad it is. The car was hit is the front and rear. The pans are rusted out(typical), the corner right in front of the rear fender on both sides is completley gone. Does any one know where I can get the rear replacement piece? Other than that the car is ig good shape for a 64 type1. Do all 64 beetles have pop-out quarter windows? Where should I start on my restore?

Any comments and/or questions are wanted.

Start by robbing a bank. :D

Seriously, it sounds like quite the project. I started by stripping it down to bare shell, then assessing the needs. I would get the chassis squared away first off.

definitely as rustbucket said, start with the chassis. then go from
there....

not all 64's had popouts...but remember 64's are the smaller
earlier popouts, not like the 65 - 77 popouts. so they are harder
to get and more expensive... :rolleyes:
