Need - early 944 aluminum rear arms

Well, after many emails and waiting, I have come to the conclusion that I have been officially ripped off by an eBay seller (Ohitcanhappen2u2@aol.com or lizbreen@aol.com) for the first time. Please beware!

I had purchased a set of early aluminum rear arms w/ e-brake cables and hardware to use on my Ghia, but after 4 months after paying for them, they still have not arrived and now the seller won't return emails. :bawling:

So...

If anyone out there has a set that they are willing to sell me, please let me know. I need the early ones and not the later, wider ones as fitting will be tight under rear of the ghia will be tight as it is. (I am planning on custom offset wheels).

Thanks for your help.

Pelican parts classified forums are pretty good. lots of stuff being parted out.

Thanks Bullyboy,

I have one other source to check out (the guy who sold me the 4 pot calipers and a few other items).

If that doesn't check out, then I'll give Pelican a call. I was hoping that someone here would have a set for sale.

My apologies for posting in the wrong forum, as I noticed after I had posted that it should have been in the "wanted" section.

I know your looking for early arms, but I just want to throw out that I've got a set of late ones I'd sell for $200.00

i have a potential sale pending, but if it falls through i will have some early arms for sale. will let you know (and don't be shy about a follow-up if you don't hear from me).

Soul,

Thanks for the offer, but the late aluminum arms would just be too wide for my application on the Ghia. When I get around to doing up my 72 Beetle Cabrio, I'll probably be looking for the later arms, as I can simply install wider fenders, but this simply is not an option on a Ghia.

Zen,

I will follow-up with you on them in a week or so. Will this be enough time?

Cheers,

Doug
