Coil Overs for my B/J handlin' beast

I'm wondering what coil overs to use for a stock width B/J beam with thru rods on my 74' Type 1. It's going to be a full on handleing/speed machine(Subaru twin turbo[350 hp ej20tt], 901 transmission, independent coils front and rear, lexan, no interior besides seats and a steering wheel, full body) designed to handle, run 10's, and go 160 mph :D . Anyways i've seen the eagle uniball independent rear's, but I don't know where to get shocks to fit the stock ball joint setup (CB's puma beam) with thru rods (the style red9design, and airkewld's airbags uses) It'll be low with porsche turbo twists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I prefer not to do the red9' setup cause it'll take 450$ for coilovers and thru rods, and shipping is an arm and a leg.

Thanks a lot,
Russ

I'm asuming you've not purchased the kit yet. But if you had I'd just call them and ask which to use, but I thought they came with the kit.

hmmmm.. you might want to wait 'til the double A arms suspension gets done.

but that aside I don't know of any other companies providing these types of suspension. Frankly I don't know if much other than easy adjustablity is gained. Other than that, if easy adjusting isn't that important, I'd stick with the stock stuff.

But, yea if this will be a total handling machine, wait or even design your own double A arm suspension.

check out

and do a search for the post about the double A arms. I've been toying with the idea of using fiero spindles with custom lower a arms and these for uppers.

good luck

Adjusting rear torsion suspension.

Is it a big project to adjust height on a 70 Beetles rear suspension. The drivers side is 3/4" lower than the passengers side. By the way, the height problem is not because of the weight of the driver. :D
