rotary power?

anyone run a mazda rotary engine in there super? i have a friend that is a big time rotary guru(even has a rotor tattoed on his neck) that wants to give me a fresh rebuilt 12a rotary motor and anything else i need besides the adapters if i put it in my super and am wondering if i could mount the radiator above the tranny with a e-fan on it because i refuse to cut up my car to mount it in the front. i have heard you can get 120 HP out of a 12a with a weber carb and custom exhaust. any thoughts or opinions on this idea?

I saw your post and I was wondering if you've seen this website yet. Volks-Swap It's a website all about putting other engines in air-cooled vws. :agree: Great site! Check it out.

I thought about putting a Wrx or even a Rotary in my Ghia, but it's the whole idea of finding a place for the radiator.

thanks for the link. i remembered that site from awhile back but could not find it since i forgot the name of it. after reading it for awhile i think i will just stick with good ol VW power to keep from cutting my car up. although a nice heater would be a perk of water cooled power.

Maybe Boygenius will chime in. He was looking at that swap for a while. Think he even had the adapters and such.

The engine will go in with few problems, but I don't think an electric fan will cool it. But that isn't based on any data I've collected.

You might also check out http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewforum.php?f=19 . There's alot of good info there as well. It's also a more active forum.
