I talked to that guy quite a bit a while ago. He has put a huge amount of time and money into that car. A bunch of guys were blasting him over on the Samba. Calling the Green Goblin. I have to say it's not my style, but you have to appreciate good craftsmanship. It looks flawless. And it's different. Can't say it's just like every other Cal-Looker you see!

Holy bujeebus thats a crammed engine compartment!!
Lotta craftsmanship and time into that one!!! I say :agree: |
rustbucket,
I hear you on that one. I've almost stopped going to the Samba forums as there is nothing but bad mouthing and dumb comments. This site is 100x more informative and the users are much friendlier. Someone will actually answer your question without giving you an opinion or attitude. As for the car, it's obvious he put a ton of time and effort into it, and if it's what he wants, cool for him and screw everyone else. I can appreciate someone else's ride even if it's not what I would do. Cheers, Doug |
If German Look is function over form, I don't think it should preclude a car from having a lot of form. And baby, that has a lot of form.
But all of that form seems [to me] to also have function. That rather imposing wing, for instance, probably has more genuine function than me saving 37oz. with the c/f-kevlar running boards I want. GL or not, I like it. I just don't know if I could learn to shift with my left hand. ;) |
I like it as well. But I am also like alot of the Japanese cars in the import
scene too :D |
I like the amount of handwork in that car...
But it's too much plastic fantastic |
