914-4 rpm gauge

I've just hooked up the 914-4 gauge to the coil but the reads from the tacho is out! 100km/h it reads 1500rpm, can anyone help? :( The gauge was restored at pa speedo.

Oh, and the rpm needle deflects when I turn off the ignition. :(
