It`s Alive
Today it came back to life with a new heart.
Fired up the scooby engine for the first time in the car! What a feeling...... Who cares if the harness is on the outside of the car.... its running!!!!!! Vin |
That's it! Duct tape the harness to the car, get the wife to hold the makeshift fuel tank in place and let it rip!
Oh, make sure your policies are up to date ;) |
Have a good pair of running shoes on too incase you need to do a flintstones stop! Congrats!! Must be awesome, can't wait.

Hi
I couldnt get your URL to work. Steve |
ehhhh whats a url??? dont know computers..... sorry..
but give me a block of alu, and i will make you a part... |

From the pictures on your website, it appears that your coolant tubes run through the heater channels. Is that true?
Do you have any piccies of how the other end looks? Thanks |
There is a couple more pics on my old website.(see below)
Yes its correct that the high pressure hydraulic hoses run trough the heater chanels. had to remove the innside of the chanel to do this. I chose to use expensive hyd hoses due to the possibility of making sharp bends without kinking the hose. also they will not make condense.(ore break) corrosion is not going to be a problem anyway with good inhibition with dinitrol products (aircraft stuff) There is going to be 2 airlocks that may cause problems, but bleedvalves on top of them is going to solve this i hope. (The toyota mr2 sports car have 3 airlocks and it works fine with bleeds) I am also going to use 2 expansion tanks. one in the front and the original subaru in the back. Have not filled the system with water yet so i dont know if it will work. Vin. http://home.broadpark.no/~oharaune/Karroseri.htm |
Sweet !
Impressive project you have going ! Rob. |
Turbo Haraune
how made the torsionbar substitute? don't realy know what to call them so here the pic that you have on your site... http://v-dubs.no/haraune/album01/pho...3-uniball2.jpg |
@lurve, that's called a uniball setup. Remmele in Germany makes a kit and some other shops as well but pretty expensive.
|
Yep thats right. remmelle makes them but since they are such a unserious company that they didnt answer my requests by email, i just made them myself....
Im going to publish detailed cnc machining drawings so everybody can make them.because i think the prise they are charging is insane!! Vin |
