Simple question:
 

I got a '73 1303 with steel Porsche 944 a-arms, that set the back wheels about an inch further out than standard.

I want to put 17" Porsche Cup 1's on, but will they fit without going for oversize wings? I want to avoid that cos I think they look awful!

Will 17 x 7" fit?

yes, they will fit if you have original Porsche offset
