AERO from OZ

I have several mates who regularly pull 200 plus kph on the race track the main prob is air under the front wheels and air flow off the rear end of the beetle,in standard form the Bug cant deal with this so the only options that work are Kamei front air dams and good porsche style rear wings, they do change the look of the good old bug but if you want to go f...ing fast you have to make some sacrifices,we also have things called Aero Guards down under that are wider and lower at the front edge to stop air getting under the wheels these work better than a Kamei and look better also.they also stop air flow under rear arches also stopping tail float,if you incorperate a rear wing your bug will stick like dog **** to your shoe! check out www.beetleracing.com they can supply Aero guards and have a neat GT3 style wing that gives greate down force and extra air flow to engine bay, they also look good and actualy work!

I have been eyeing this kit for while. Do you need to run the early lights.
Currently looking for a kit of a 73 SB that will be heading to the track.

Thanks
Alex

If only someone could make the extra bottom part of those fenders we could fiberglass them in regular fiberglass fenders.
Making a mold (or mould, sorry for the bad english) of those parts isn't difficult at all, anybody here willing to do it?

Big Al April 29th 2006 22:53

Yeah you have to run early style head lights cause when my father made the they were purely for better air flow and the lay back head lights improve the air flow over the flat super bug ones.

and tom, we actually are just about to make start making the mould of the extra bottom peice. We have cut the section of some guards to begin the process.

If you email Ritchard at Vforce you might be able to order sum aero corners, last time I saw him he had one but needs orders to make it worth while producing anymore, the corners are neat you could stick em to stock guards and theyd look cool.

Any email address for that?
If he can make them I'm in.
